چکیده
Abstract Background Myopericarditis following coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) vaccine is a described entity, but its evolution still unclear. Methods Patients with diagnosis of myopericarditis after mRNA COVID-19 represented our population. Clinical evaluation, laboratory tests and non-invasive cardiac were performed at baseline six months. Results Between January August 2021, we identified 7 patients vaccination. The median age was 29 years (IQR: 25.5–53.5 years) all males. time from administration to symptoms onset 5 days 4–7 days); five received BNT162b2, two mRNA-1273 only one patient developed first dose vaccine. most common presentation chest pain (100%) fatigue (71.4%). Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction (LVEF) preserved in 6 them while mildly reduced (median LVEF: 61.3% [IQR: 60–62.9%]). Late Gadolinium Enhancement detected Cardiac Magnetic Resonance the 42.9% cases. Treatment conservative for except one; pericardiocentesis necessary due massive pericardial effusion. At months follow-up asymptomatic normal troponin level, electrocardiogram echocardiogram confirming complete healing inflammatory process. Two booster without evidence myopericardial involvement. Conclusions associated COVID19 vaccination more frequent young males usually characterized by benign evolution.

Myopericarditis has been a rare or unrecognized event after smallpox vaccinations with the New York City Board of Health strain of vaccinia virus (Dryvax; Wyeth Laboratories, Marietta, Pennsylvania). In this article, the authors report an attributable incidence of at least 140 clinical cases of myopericarditis per million primary smallpox vaccinations with this strain of vaccinia virus. Fifty-e...
متن کاملInterpretation of Serologic Test Results and Evaluation of Humoral Immune Response After Vaccination Following Infection with COVID-19 Disease
SARS-CoV-2 virus infection induces a cellular and humoral mediated immune response and produces antibodies against viral antigens such as nucleocapsid (N) protein and spike (S) protein. Anti-protein S antibodies also target the spike protein subunit S1 and the receptor binding domain (RBD). Serologic tests can detect the presence of these antibodies in blood serum within a few days to a few wee...

Over 450,000 U.S. military personnel received the vaccination between December 2002 and June...
